Surprisingly, one very simple and easy way to improve the gas economy of your vehicle that many people are unaware of, would be to wash the car regularly. It has been proven that a clean car influences the gas economy of your car because a washed car has a smaller amount of wind resistance. This in turn reduces the fuel consumption of the vehicles as well.

Wash your car gently and start from the top, thoroughly wetting the surface. Using a wash mitt is recommended, since it does not scratch the paint. Avoid using a wash sponge as it tends to act like sandpaper sometimes.

6 Things Your Mother Never Told You About Heartburn and Heartburn Acid Reflux!

Accurate heartburn information is not always easy to find on the Internet.

I struggled to find a reliable source myself, so I decided to collate some tips for you, along with other relevant Heartburn Acid Reflux information.

Tip #1

It is not confirmed that chiropractic manipulations will help with acid reflux.  In fact, some doctors don’t recommend chiropractic treatments for acid reflux at all.  However, some patients claim that these types of manipulations help them greatly with their acid reflux symptoms.  So, if you are interested in alternative therapies for your acid reflux, you can certainly give chiropractic manipulation a try and see if it helps you.Tip #2

Not every person who suffers from heartburn acid reflux has a hiatal hernia, but most who have a hiatal hernia do suffer from acid reflux.  The effect of a hiatal hernia on acid reflux is not known for sure, but it is generally assumed that hiatal hernias do have something to do with gastroesophageal reflux disease.  It is important to understand how the lower esophageal sphincter, or LES, relates to the condition called acid reflux because a hiatal hernia does affect the LES, which in turn causes acid reflux.Tip #3

If you suffer more from the heartburn portion of acid reflux disease one answer may be the use of proton pump inhibitors.  Most people have seen or heard an advertisement for Prilosec, a proton pump inhibitor that helps with fighting off acid reflux disease.  Proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec with blocking the production of acid and secretions of acid into the stomach.  The beauty of a proton pump inhibitor is that it works for a considerably longer amount of time than an antacid.Tip #4

Keep a food diary to track everything you eat and drink if you suffer from acid reflux as diet plays a part in generating stomach acid, and if the acid levels are managed and kept low then you are less likely to experience the reflux. Tip #5

Try avoiding the chocolate, cola drinks, peppermints, and alcohol as they tend to irritate the lower sphincter and cause acid reflux.  Fatty foods and smoking can also cause the problem, which can humorously be alleviated at times by chewing gum.  Since the gum creates more saliva to offset the acid in the esophagus you are effectively battling the acid that is trying to travel back up your system.Tip #6

People can change their diets to actually eliminate or reduce the effects of Acid Reflux. A proper routine can be made to reduce the problem which generally causes due to the irregular habits of eating or eating more junk food and also from excessive drinking. These bad habits cause a rise in the stomach acids, which in turn adds more pressure on the muscle that is trying to stop the stomach acid from escaping.

I’m glad to see that environmentally friendly products are becoming so popular. There are a ton of options now for all sorts of different products. There’s the obvious food and cleaning products but there are also things a lot of people don’t think about it. For example, a shop opened in my neighborhood just the other day that specializes in environmentally friendly custom jewelry. I’d never considered the environmental impact jewelry making has but after talking to the shop owners I will definitely be buying from them if I add to my jewelry collection in the future. They had some really nice pieces!

Creative Wedding Books

When I was married the first time, over twenty years ago, there was only one way to have your photography done and that was with a traditional film camera. You would wait for months to get back a huge pile of proofs, sift through them, then pay a lot of money to order just a few of the pictures which hopefully turned out ok. Now that photographers buy digital cameras, you not only get images to choose from more quickly, you don’t even have to order prints if you don’t want to. You can take the digital pictures and have a website put them in a book for you and have it mailed to your door.

Roll up banners free standing vs. hanging

I am currently looking to buy roll up banners for a client I am working with who is opening a retail store. In my research I have come to realize there are a lot of options and prices around roll up banners. I can’t help but ask the question, which is better, a free standing one or one that hangs. The price difference is drastic however I get that with the free standing one you are buying a system that would allow you to change out the banner art whenever you wanted. However, it looks as though it might be rather difficult to do. What is your vote free standing or hanging?

If your a Webkinz collector, you are probably always trying to find them for very low prices.  This is not always easy but the following tips will help you find some cheap webkinz for sale.  My number one spot for finding Webkinz for very cheap prices is yard sales.  Some people don’t realize Webkinz can be worth a bit of money.  They just sell them for the same price as all the other stuffed animals.  I have seen retired Webkinzs selling for a quarter each.  That is just crazy.  If you do find good deals at a yard sale you might be able to get even more of a discount if you buy all the Webkinz they have.  Most likely the people selling them will be happy to get rid of them they will cut you a break on the price for buying them all.

 

Another good place to find cheap Webkinz pets is Ebay.  There are literally thousands of listing of every Webkinz out there.  As long as you bid smart and look for deals you won’t get ripped off.  In fact a lot of times you can find some rare Webkinz that no one is bidding on.   When bidding for Webkinz on Ebay make sure to keep your emotions on the side. It is easy to get wrapped up since you really want to win but be patient and never pay more then what you originally expected to pay.  Hopefully these simple tips will help you increase your Webkinz collection at a reasonable price.

Hot Spots

Sometimes, especially in humid climates, many breeds of dogs can develop what are called “hot spots”. There are bacterial infections in the skin which irritate the dog, making him scratch or bite his own skin until it bleeds. Labrador skin problems are no different.
