Barnstormers Theatre, Tamworth, NH. Barnstormers Theatre in Tamworth, NH is an outstanding venue for experiencing live summer theater, plus a variety of other performances throughout the year. The theater seats just under 300 in a beautiful setting featuring outstanding acoustics. The Barnstormers Theatre professional acting company produces a new show each week from July through August, for a total of 8 shows a season. The Barnstormers acting company produces comedies, classical Broadway hits, contemporary and new plays, plus at least one drama or mystery each season. They are believed to be the only resident acting company producing a new show each week in the summer stock tradition. During the months from September through June, various other groups rent Barnstormers Theatre to host, produce or perform a variety of types of concerts and performances. Folk, classical or jazz concerts, dramatic productions by the local Shakespeare Company, and special events sponsored by he Arts Council of Tamworth are some of the shows you may attend here throughout the year.
