Researching Vehicle Warranty Coverage

I have a car that is five years old and completely paid for.  I thought I would trade it in long ago, but have decided that I should keep it in light of the unstable economy.  I hadn’t really given much thought to the fact that the warranty has already expired until I saw some commercials on television about purchasing a vehicle warranty.  I guess that would be a smart thing to do, especially since the car is a little older.  I am starting to do some research and am comparing the different coverage options and the prices.  I hope I can find something affordable.
