Figuring Out the Best Way to Structure a Company

There are a few basic guidelines that any company should follow in regards to its structure and how it is organized.  Most of these are common sense, and organizational structure theories have proven their necessity time and time again.  For instance, all companies have a “triangular” chain of command that starts out with a few people at the top and ends with many at the bottom.  However, there are many other important principles to properly organizing a company’s hierarchy that are much less obvious, but still just as important.  If you want to properly structure a company, study organizational theory and learn what you can.
