Bottled Water vs Whole House Water Filter
February 24th, 2010 by admin
There is no denying that millions of people do not trust the quality of their water supply. That is why the bottled water industry is such a profitable one.
Bottled water may be a clean source of water on the road but if you are at home - it is a lot safer to drink water stored in glass bottles. Plastic bottled release chemicals into the contents - chemicals which can damage your health.
Furthermore, bottled water is not subject to the stringent regulation of your municipal water supply.
With these facts in minds - here is a great alternative. Buy a wholehouse water filter. These filter the water that comes through every tap in your home, removing dangerous contaminants along the way.
When you filter your tap water with a wholehouse filter - store it in a glass bottle. Then you’ll have the safest drinking water possible.

I Have Too Much Penofin Stain
February 21st, 2010 by admin
I hired two of my teenage neighbor boys to re stain my deck after I hired a professional to clean it and get the old stuff off. I bought some penofin stain and was pretty sure that i had bought enough but the boys ran out after they had only sealed half of it. I wondered how I could have figured wrong, and ordered some more penofin stain and after it came in, I found two gallons that the boys did not see hidden behind some things in the garage. Now, I have an additional three gallons of penofin stain that I do not need. I wonder if they will take it back and give me a refund?

Shower Bench Seating Can Make A Big Difference
February 21st, 2010 by admin
Redoing our bathroom in our apartment was not an easy task. Not only did we not have much room to work with, but we had rules and guidelines from the apartment complex that we had to deal with. Keeping in line with them, we decided to make just some minor changes. We added some wall shelving, and some shower bench seating, as well as some fixtures for the shower and sink area. We were able to keep well within the guidelines thanks to the bathroom remodeling plans we got online, and even was able to add some new things to liven the place up.

Party Store - A Child’s Dream
February 19th, 2010 by admin
I recently took my nephew to a party store and he almost had a heart attack. He’s a huge Batman, Spiderman, and X-men fan and he virtually demanded every single item of all three of those characters that the store had. I could barely contain my laughter. His eyes were so wide with excitement that I was afraid he was going to explode with joy. I ended up breaking down and purchased him a really cool stand up poster of Batman. He’s been worshipping me ever since. Anyway, if you want to add some excitement to your children’s lives, bring them to a party store.

Love Of Braided Rugs
February 19th, 2010 by admin
My sister June loves braided rugs. I never really understood why. In my mind I thought of braided rugs as colonial looking and more suited to the country styled homes. Well, June told me to come over to her home one day to look at some of her new rugs. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. In her home were braided rugs that were contemporary in designs and patterns. She even had one solid color braided rug which was used under her dining table. I didn’t know that these braided rugs came in such interesting options. She told me that today braided rugs are mostly machine made and many are suitable for the contemporary homes. Perhaps I should get one for my home too.

Balcony safety: Climb aboard the balcony? Nay!
February 18th, 2010 by admin
Living in old buildings might not be the safest place for your children and I’m not referring to ghosts and other unnatural stuff e-which they usually show in movies, the problem here is more real and more concrete, I’m referring to your home’s balconies. Balcony safety should be put to practice especially if you have young children. A tip for checking the balcony safety of your homes is to see to it that the balcony railings are 42 inches high, have no more than 4 inches of space between each railing and that the children won’t be able to climb over.

Use and Operation of Fish Tank Filters
February 18th, 2010 by admin
What exactly are aquarium or fish tank filters for? Basically, they’re for your fish’s health and safety, as filters remove debris and suspended articles in the water, as well as ammonia and nitrates. Filters also aerate the tank’s water.
Go to any tank store and you’ll find a variety of filters. Most, however, are divided into three main components: biological, mechanical and chemical.
The biological part of the filter is important in breeding the good bacteria in your tank. Good bacteria is responsible for converting ammonia to nitrite, then nitrite to nitrate. This is known as the Nitrogen Cycle and helps immensely in maintaining your fish’s life. The mechanical component of the filter removes particles and debris in the water. These are usually taken out with the use of a siphoning mechanism in the filter. Lastly, the tank filter’s chemical part removes the dissolved wastes in the water. This is usually done with the use of activated carbon in the fish tank filters.

Selling Cotton Candy
February 18th, 2010 by admin
I remember when I was a teenager I had really fun summer jobs. One summer in particular I worked at an amusement park and I sold cotton candy. That was really exciting. First I got to learn how to use the cotton candy machine and how to set it up before the park opened for visitors. Then I learned how to make the cotton candy. It took me a few tries before finally perfecting the lush round cloudlike look of the cotton candy. And then I also got to brush up on my people skills and my marketing skills. I met so many people and it was exciting to think that just by selling cotton candy I made many kids and adults happy.

Easily available online
February 17th, 2010 by admin
A commercial waffle maker is easily made available to you online through many manufacturers, like VillaWare, Kitchenaid, Salton and others. The special features of a commercial waffle maker are its durability and the styling. They are available in different sizes and shapes. What makes them easy to use is the classic styling. It has a heating element with non stick plates on the upper and lower side. Thus the waffle batter does not stick to it. Besides, the handles do not get hot even when the plates are hot. In many of the commercial waffle makers, the plates rotate ensuring the batter is evenly distributed. With an in-built timer you not only don’t burn your waffles but also decide how crisp you want your waffle to be! Last but not the least; it is easy to clean too. You can bake two waffles in less than five minutes at a time. With all these credits to the commercial waffle maker, why buy them from stores. Just don’t wait and get your own commercial waffle maker home!
