Lisa’s Divorce Is Final

Filing Bankruptcy

My bankruptcy lawyer advised me to contact all of the bill collectors that called me nearly everyday. I told each one of the bill collectors that I was planning on filing bankruptcy. I was hoping that the phone calls would stop once I spoke with the bill collectors. The phone calls did not actually stop until I officially filed for bankruptcy. I was surprised that I even had a few calls from several of the bill collectors once I filed for bankruptcy.
