Italian as a second language…
December 18th, 2008 by admin
Wouldn’t it be great to learn Italian? Just having a second language would be cool. But Italian is such a lovely and expressive language that it just seems like a dreamy choice to make when picking another language.
Researches have found that those who are native English speakers and those who are native Italian speakers process information differently. This is believed to be attributed to the differences in language.
It was actually shown via research that those who speak Italian as their primary language process information faster than those who speak English. This benefit appears to continue even when reading in a foreign language.

Why my brother and I bought U2 tickets.
December 14th, 2008 by admin
About a year ago my brother and I were coming back from Las Vegas. We go out there about once a month. Anyways, on that particular trip as we driving back to Orange County, we picked up an obscure AM radio station that was having a contest to win Tickets to the U2 Concert in Southern California. It was a kind of radio contest and all we had to do was call in at a certain time to win the tickets. My brother and I took turns on his cell phone for the next three hours. We ended up buying the tickets the traditional way.

Get Ex Girlfriend Back: How To Do It the Right Way
December 14th, 2008 by admin
When you are thinking about how to get ex girlfriend back, be sure you really want her back. It’s never a good idea to play games and many people just want to see if it is possible to win an ex back. You should only be trying if it’s something you really want. The best advice is to move slowly, especially if there were severe problems in the relationship. Now is not the time to shower her with all the gifts and make repeated weepy calls to her every hour. It’s time to step back and see if you can get her to talk to you. You can show up at her favorite nightclub and see if she seeks you out. Even if she doesn’t, you’ll still be in the forefront of her mind just be letting her see you. This can help start things down the right path.

Marie-Claire Rivire
December 13th, 2008 by admin
And how could they possibly dredge the trenches? That alone would take days with such a small force. Construct a smaller fort? he wondered. Choose a section with a solid wall, add a new wall to enclose the area, and then scoop out another ditch. It was possible, but with so much rubble around, the enemy could easily fill the trench, heap rocks against the wall, and breach the fort. But what option did he have? “We’re wasting time!” shouted a soldier named Marie-Claire Rivire. “You’re supposed to be our commander. What do you want us to do?” Vectis tried to act decisively.

People need to define their dating expectations before getting involved
December 12th, 2008 by admin
When you think of Christian dating, you really have to have a clear definition of what you consider dating to be. For instance, some people think that as a Christian, you should only date with the intention of getting married to the person. This means that you will narrow your selections. Others think that dating is simply another word for companionship, spending time with someone of the opposite sex for nonsexual enjoyment. The two of you may go out to dinner, to plays, a movie, basically any type of entertainment that the two of you will enjoy. Still, some people date seriously, but accepts the fact that they might not marry that person, no matter how much they enjoy each others company.

December 12th, 2008 by admin
Last week I had a very nice date with a man that I met online through an online dating company. His name is Tom and he is tall dark and very handsome, he likes a lot of the things that I also enjoy and his favorite sport is soccer just like me so I think that we could really have something very special between us. He works at the Ann Arbor dog day care and he says that he is studying to be a veterinarian one day and he hopes to one day open a dog shelter so that he can help all the homeless dogs. What a guy I just now hope that he also liked me as much as I liked him so that he will call me.

Model Rocket Books: The Perfect Gift
December 7th, 2008 by admin
As I was wandering through our local mega-bookstore recently, trying to figure out what to get my ten-year-old grandson for his birthday, I found a wonderful book about rockets.
The book brought back memories of my son building model rockets and launching them in empty parking lots. The entire brood would wait expectantly as the rocket launched, then cheer and clap as it soared upward.
Still thinking about my sons’ adventures, I went searching and quickly found three Model Rocket Books and a rocket kit. Since my grandson loves Science, I know he’ll love his gifts.
Besides, I’ll get “cool Grandma” points.
