Always Looking for New Techniques

I am always looking for ways to make my laptop computer run better. I have a fairly new laptop but I think it is important to keep myself up to date on techniques that will speed up my laptop. Besides defragmenting the hard drive and checking for viruses and spyware, I have learned to remove old programs. I find that I often put programs on my laptop and then forget about them. Removing them frees up space on my hard drive. This usually speeds up my laptop a little bit. I also have disabled several start up programs that I do not need when I turn my laptop on.
