November 30th, 2009 by admin

Gait is the technical term for the way we walk and if we say gait analysis, we usually mean the analysis of the way we walk. Many people, like podiatrists, use gait analysis if they are looking for problems in the way people walk that may be causing the person’s foot problem that they are trying to treat. Biomechanists also use gait analysis to look for ways in order to make people walk more efficiently, coaches use gait analysis to help change the style of their runners to be able to run faster and a forensic scientists also use gait analysis in order to see how likely a particular suspect is to be the one on a video given that the face is not seen.
