What is a Type 3 Asbestos Survey?

A Type 3 Asbestos Survey is requested by clients when they need asbestos to be found regardless of the extent to which the asbestos surveyor will have to go to. This can include partial destruction of certyain areas of the building so as to enable full access to otherwise inaccessible places. In this way a report can be generated revealing the total surface area and volume of asbestos found to be present on the site. It will also form the basis for calculating the cost of asbestos removal.A client will contract a Type 3 Asbestos survey when they want to begin a major refurbishment or if they are going to demolish the building.
