Why You Should Monitor Your Blood Pressure

Your blood pressure readings are one way to understand how healthy you are. Hypertension is the medical term of high blood pressure, and can be treated by medication, diet, and exercise. One of the biggest factors contributing to high blood pressure is being overweight. Rapid weight loss is one method for reducing the damaging effects of hypertension.

Hypertension is often treated with medication, changes in diet, and increased exercise. Aerobic activities are especially effective for decreasing the symptoms and effects of high blood pressure.

Eating a low sodium and low fat diet can help reduce problems as well. The good news is that hypertension can be managed, and some people are able to, eventually, do this without medication.
