The most constructive way to create a useful dental review

When I am giving my doctor a public dental review, what I like to focus on the most is constructive criticism, as opposed to insults, berating commentary, or other attacks to his conduct and or place of business.

I like to provide the other members of my community with a comprehensive dental review because it gives me the opportunity to quickly and inexpensively aide my townspeople with a reasonable, well formed opinion that will help them choose which dentist they want to schedule appointments with for themselves and their immediate families. A good dental review can save your friends and community members from going to a less than acceptable doctor, or it can help guide them to a doctor that you know is going to be right one for them because he or she is polite, professional, and reasonably accessible when an emergency happens.

I once saw a dental review that did not impress me one bit, no way, no how. All they did was focus on the negative and complain. When I give my dental review, I like to phrase my criticisms more like this: “The service was fairly all right, but if the doctor spoke up on the phone, he might sound more welcoming to customers”. That, to me is a fair dental review that makes the doctor and the consumer aware of a possible issue with service at that particular dentist office, without being too much like a verbal assault on a medical professional.

So, just remember, when you read a dental review and it seems to be too focused on the negative, you may want to take it with a grain of salt, but if you read one that seems fair and balanced while also making the reader aware of a possible concern, you may want to take it a bit more to heart.
