Big deal about kitchen designs

What’s the big deal about kitchen designs anyway? That’s what I used to think. For some reason, my mom has always been fascinated with them. Growing up, we did not have the money for fancy frills in our home. Mom is a great cook, and loves to raid my kitchen whenever she and Dad come to visit my pad. My kitchen is pretty plain, but I’ve gotten all the neat appliances to make cooking easy, if not instant. My mom says I should add a healthy splash of color once in a while. Then she painted my walls and had my cabinets redone with my approval. I must say, I was impressed. I can now never leave the kitchen without being in awe.
