Affordable Health Insurance For The Poor

There are some government programs available that provide affordable health insurance for the poor. Most of the time applications have to be filled out to determine a person’s eligibility. Eligibility may be base on income, family size, access to insurance through other means such as through a spouse, etc. There are also programs available that will cover children even if the parents are not eligible. There are people who could be considered “poor”, but are excluded from being eligible for these programs. Maybe they make a dollar or two more an hour above the income restrictions, or maybe the programs they need are out of funds. So they are left to suffer without any type of insurance coverage.
