Considering a Credit Union for a Car Loan

Someone was saying the other day that you can get a really good rate on a Car Loan at a credit union. I was always under the impression that you had to work for a certain company or be in a certain profession in order to be a member of a credit union. I guess the rules have changed. It really is great though since they seem to give the best rates on most things. Since I am wanting to buy another used vehicle I am going to call them to see what is involved in getting prequalified for a car loan. Maybe I can save myself some money.
