Guerrero injured

The Rangers won the game despite suffering from a low of star slugger, Vladimir Guerrero, who injured an eye during practice.

Guerrero, who plays as a designated hitter, was removed from the lineup after he hit the ball bounced into the cage and struck him above the left eye.

The Rangers said they invited the eight-time All-Star suffered “severe swelling, but x-rays ruled out structural damage and health status will be reviewed daily.

Even without their best hitter, Texas attacked the release of Gavin Floyd (2-6), who took the loss.
