Here are some Illinois fun facts everyone should know. Did you know that Abraham Lincoln came from there. He was the governor and just about broke the state budget when he put state money up to build roads. The project was more to pay out of work people than it was to actually improve things. It was part of the long history of political corruption known to go on in the state of Illinois and especially in the City of Chicago. After all that is where the expression “vote early and vote often” came from. That is a true story.
