A Very Special First Anniversary Gift

For our first anniversary my husband was constantly hinting at a big surprise. I really didn’t know what to expect as I knew money had been pretty tight during our first year of marriage. I went through a list of possible anniversary gifts but couldn’t even begin to guess at what he might be getting me. The night of our anniversary finally arrived. He surprised me by taking me out to dinner and then for an overnight stay in the same honeymoon suite that we stayed in on our wedding night. He also had room service deliver a mini version of our wedding cake, champagne, and a single red rose to commemorate our first year of marriage.
