Hydroponic gardening is beneficial to water conservation.

July 9th, 2010 by admin

Hydroponic gardening systems recycle water instead of dumping the old water and pumping in fresh water. Water supply is a growing concern, not only in the United States, but in neighboring countries and overseas.  In many regions, several cities and states are dependent on one single water system such as a lake or river, and as the population booms the strain on those resources grows. Many farmers have had to end operations due to drought conditions and lack of natural water replenishment. Hydroponics could be the answer many growers are looking for. For example, a single residence that prefers homegrown food can avoid local water restrictions on gardening.
