Internet Television By Any Other Name is the Same

May 28th, 2009 by admin

There are many different terms associated with internet television. Television on the desktop (TOD) is one of the simple ones and the easiest to understand. TV over IP is television over internet protocol, much like the voice over IP concept for making telephone calls online. Vlog is another term which stands for video web logging. Vodcast is video on demand, meaning that you can watch old shows or news reports whenever you want. Web TV is another term that should not be confused with the Microsoft/MSN service. This refers to an original episode of web television programming. Whatever term a service uses, the bottom line is that they are allowing you to access shows online.
