Protecting Plants from Disease

February 3rd, 2010 by admin

Watering plants is a continuous task for any professional gardener. Greenhouses must be kept moist, not wet. Many greenhouse misting systems place too much moisture in the air and this moisture can damage your plants. Mold and bacteria quickly grows in damp conditions. To avoid this, consider purchasing a system that produces a fog like mist rather than water droplets. Fog is dryer and tends to evaporate at a faster rate. No moisture gathers below the mister so moisture does not build up and become a problem. Your plants will be healthier as a result and you won’t have to worry about diseases spreading throughout the greenhouse.
