Nicolaysen Art Museum and Discovery Center, Casper, WY

Anyone who enjoys viewing contemporary art will appreciate a visit to the Nicolaysen Art Museum and Discovery Center in Casper, WY. The Museum showcases contemporary artwork from regional artists. Works by national and international artists are displayed in traveling exhibitions hosted by the NIC.Trappings is a fascinating exhibition currently visiting the NIC. This work by Tiffany Ludwig and Renee Piechocki includes audio, photographs and video archives of women throughout the United States who participated in creating the exhibit. Hundreds of women responded to the question, What Do You Wear That Makes You Feel Powerful? Women in the Casper area are presently participating in the exhibit, as well. NIC Fest is an exciting annual event held each June at the NIC. Works of many regional artists, special competitions and fun art shows are featured at this exciting event. An art car show and quilt exhibition are some of the highlights of NIC Fest.
